Your Chakras are Out of Whack!

Chakra means wheel or disk, and you've probably heard all about them in a yoga class or maybe even in a meditation context (it depends on the modality). In these contexts, chakra refers to wheels of energy in the body, most of which run along the spine. These spinning wheels all have their own color and spin on their own and together with the other chakras. When I work to clear my chakras, I visualize spinning disks that each glow with their own color.

My Meditation Story

My first experience with meditation was pivotal. I was a skeptic. Raised in a very conservative Southern Baptist home, my spiritual awakening was always tempered with a voice in the back of my head that told me anything with roots in other parts of the world was bad.
